Course overview

Increasingly, managers are working in work environments where employees have different backgrounds in personalities, cultures, demographics & experiences. Employees from different backgrounds bring their own unique work styles and communication styles to the job. How can a manager promote team and individual effectiveness by creating an atmosphere of understanding, trust and mutual respect?

This highly interactive workshop is designed to equip managers and supervisors with scientifically proven tools on how to connect and communicate effectively with different kinds of employees.


This programme will be held over 4 sessions of about 3.5 hours each.

Programme leader

Wayne Kwan brings with him more than 20 years of experience in management training, consulting, education, and research. He is best known for the application of leading-edge psychological and behavioural tools to help businesses and individuals maximise their performance. As a workshop facilitator, Wayne blends a powerful and energetic style with a marvelous sense of humour to inspire and motivate people to learn. Wayne is currently the Managing Partner with a consulting firm specialising in the application of scientifically validated management tools for enhancing personal, interpersonal and organisational effectiveness. He is also an Adjunct Professor at a Business Faculty of a  local university.


He was previously the Principal Consultant with an international management consultancy group. Prior to that, he held various senior management positions at both local and multinational organisations . He holds bachelor, graduate, and professional degrees in management from both local and overseas universities. Wayne had previously been a professor and consultant at a number of universities in the USA and Australia.


Wayne consults with organisations representing a broad spectrum of businesses that include the Fortune 500 companies. His clients include the Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore Airlines, CISCO Systems (USA), Singapore Tourism Board, Ministry of Health, National Panasonic, Hewlett-Packard, British Airways, Prudential Insurance, Bosch Group, Caterpillar Asia,  Swiss Reinsurance, Ricola Asia Pacific, BMW, and many more.


Wayne is author to a number of management publications and has presented papers in international management conferences. He has appeared in business talk shows over the then MediaCorp Radio of Singapore. He is also listed in the International Who’s Who Directory.


In spite of his busy schedule, Wayne finds time to serve & contribute to the community as a volunteer trainer, counselor & a family life ambassador.
